A Fund Raiser to Support Victims of Domestic Violence
November 2016 - March 2017
I am very excited to announce that I have been awarded a grant from the Bacchus Marsh Community Bendigo Bank to help fund the 'Rise Up' Project! Huge thanks to the Bacchus Marsh Arts Council Inc being the auspicing body.
CREATE ART TO CREATE CHANGE - The Rise Up Project will create Community, Connection and Art while providing Awareness and Funds for Domestic Violence Agencies and Projects that support Victims of Domestic Violence.
No experience is necessary to participate in these workshops.
During two 90 minutes classes you will create two ‘Marching Women’ sculptures (some background information about this form and its place in this project can be found here) from clay. One is for you to keep and the other one to donate for sale in the ‘Rise Up’ Exhibition in February 2017. Proceeds from the sale will go to Domestic Violence Agencies and Projects to support victims of Domestic Violence.
Have Fun, Learn, Connect, Create, be part of something Wonderful and Exhibit your ‘Marching Woman’ sculpture as part of a large installation in the B-Mac Gallery and most importantly Raise FUNDS to support Victims of Domestic Violence.
Cost for the workshop is $50 or $30 concession
Class times and venues are below in the table.
